DRAIN CONNECTION AND SYSTEM TEST

Using recommended drain opening, connect whirlpool drain to waste line. Tighten all drain joints securely. Check the pump couplings and make sure they are hand-tight. Clean the whirlpool and fill with water to a point 2" above the top of the highest jet. Recheck the pump couplings and make certain that they are not leaking. (Although the pump couplings are factory tightened and inspected, some loosening may have occured during transit.) Make sure the whirlpool is connected to the electrical supply and turn the whirlpool on. Check for leaks around all piping connections while the whirlpool is running.

POST INSTALLATION CLEAN-UP

Remove all construction debris from bath. Tile grout can be removed with a wooden popsicle stick or tongue depressor. Do not use wire brushes or any other metal implement on bath surface.

Post installation clean-up generally can be completed using warm water and liquid dishwashing detergent. Stubborn dirt or stains may be removed using granular Spic and Span® mixed with water.

Painter's naphtha can be used to remove excess adhesives and/or wet oil-base paint.

HARSH CHEMICALS SHOULD NEVER BE USED ON ACRYLIC SURFACES.

Abrasive cleaners must not be used since they will scratch and dull the surface. Dulled areas can be restored by rubbing with a white automotive-type polishing compound and waxing with a liquid wax.

2806E specifications

The American Standard 2806E is a high-efficiency gas furnace designed to deliver warmth and comfort while maximizing energy efficiency and reliability. Built with the homeowner in mind, this model showcases a myriad of features and technologies that set it apart in the competitive market of heating solutions.

One of the standout characteristics of the American Standard 2806E is its impressive Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating, which typically reaches up to 96%. This means that it converts a high percentage of the fuel it consumes into usable heat, ultimately resulting in lower energy bills and a reduced carbon footprint. For homeowners seeking to minimize their environmental impact, the 2806E is a commendable choice.

The furnace is equipped with a variable-speed blower motor, which adjusts the airflow according to the heating needs of the home. This technology not only contributes to achieving optimal comfort by minimizing temperature fluctuations but also enhances energy efficiency by using only the necessary amount of power needed for heating. The quieter operation of this variable-speed technology also improves the overall comfort of your living space.

Another important feature of the 2806E is its modulating gas valve, which allows for precise control over the gas supply, enabling the furnace to operate at different heating levels. This capability ensures that the furnace can respond effectively to changes in temperature demands, providing consistent heating without unnecessary energy waste.

The 2806E also incorporates a robust noise-reduction system, designed to minimize operational sounds. This is a notable advantage for families who value a quiet home environment. This model is factory-equipped with a heavy-gauge steel cabinet that not only enhances durability but also contributes to a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.

For added convenience and ease of use, the American Standard 2806E includes advanced diagnostic capabilities. This feature simplifies maintenance and troubleshooting, allowing technicians to identify and address issues quickly, ultimately extending the lifespan of the furnace.

In summary, the American Standard 2806E combines high efficiency, advanced technologies, and reliable performance, making it a top choice for homeowners looking to enhance their heating system. Its features, including a high AFUE rating, variable-speed blower, modulating gas valve, and robust noise-reduction mechanisms, provide exceptional comfort while ensuring that the investment in a new furnace pays off in energy savings and reliable performance for years to come.
