OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CHARGING UNIT- READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE CHARGING THIS TRIMMER
Remove Andis cordless trimmer and AC adapter from carton. The |
|
|
dual voltage adapter will have to be set manually to the correct |
|
|
voltage before plugging into an electrical outlet. In the U.S.A., |
|
|
adapter must be at 120V setting (Diagram A). Plug adapter into |
|
|
a 120V (or 240V AC outlet, as according to your local power |
|
|
standards). Note that the trimmer ON/OFF switch must be in the |
|
|
OFF position for the battery to charge. Plug adapter cord directly into | Diagram A | |
the trimmer (Diagram B). The green light on the trimmer will turn on. |
|
|
The trimmer is not charged at the factory. Please recharge trimmer |
|
|
for 12 hours (overnight) before first use for maximum performance. |
|
|
You can keep the trimmer plugged into the adapter when not in use. |
|
|
The adapter will maintain the battery at full charge and the green |
|
|
light will stay on. The unit has a Nickel Metal Hydride battery that |
|
|
cannot be damaged by overcharging. However, we recommend that |
|
|
the adapter be unplugged if the trimmer won’t be used for seven or |
|
|

PLEASE NOTE: Nickel Metal Hydride batteries have less “Memory Effect” than Nickel Cadmium batteries. Memory Effect is caused by repeated short uses of the trimmer, followed by charging. The battery never fully discharges and, therefore, “forgets” how much energy it can store. In order to maximize the performance of your Nickel Metal Hydride battery, please follow these steps:
1.Oil blade. Turn trimmer on and allow it run until the blade slows significantly. It is not necessary to let the blade stop completely.
2.Turn trimmer off. Charge overnight.
3.Conduct the above exercise every sixty days.
FAILURE TO CHARGE:
1.Make sure voltage is present at the wall outlet (confirm with an appliance you know is working).
2.Check to make sure adapter cord is plugged firmly into trimmer. Twist the adapter connector slightly to ensure good electrical connection. If failure to charge still exists, return trimmer to Andis or an Andis Authorized Service Station for examination and repair or replacement.
ATTENTION: The product you have purchased contains a rechargeable battery. The battery is recyclable. At the end of its useful life, under various state and local laws, it may be illegal to dispose of this battery into the municipal waste stream. Check with your local solid waste officials (or call
OPERATION
To use trimmer, move switch button toward the blade to turn on the L.E.D. lights and trimmer. To stop and turn lights off, move switch button to the original position. If you notice that the LED lights are fading or flickering, this is a sign that the trimmer needs to be charged.
The LED lights provide you with these features:
1.Exclusive Andis LED circuit for maximized LED life.
2.Two LEDs for full blade coverage.
3.Rugged LEDs withstand professional trimmer use without burning out.

USER MAINTENANCE
The internal mechanism of your trimmer has been permanently lubricated at the factory. Other than the recommended maintenance described in this manual, no other maintenance should be performed, except by Andis Company or an Andis Authorized Repair Service Station.
CARE AND SERVICING OF YOUR ANDIS TRIMMER BLADES
(Trimmer shown in diagrams may vary to the one that you have.)
Blades should be oiled before, during, and after each use. If your trimmer blades leave streaks or slow down, it’s a sure sign blades need oil. The trimmer should be held in a position shown in Diagram C to prevent oil from getting into motor. Place a few drops of Andis Clipper Oil on the front and side
of the cutter blades (Diagram D). Wipe excess oil off blades with a soft dry cloth. Spray lubricants contain insufficient oil for good lubrication, but are an excellent clipper coolant. Always replace broken or nicked blades to prevent injury. You can clean the excess hair from
your blades by using a small brush or worn out tooth |

brush. To clean the blades we suggest to immerse the |

blades only into a shallow pan of Andis Clipper Oil, while |
|
|
the clipper is running. Any excess hair and dirt that has | OIL | OIL |

cleaning, turn your trimmer off and dry blades with a dry |
|
|
cloth and start clipping again. |

PRECAUCIONES IMPORTANTES

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
PARA CARGAR LA UNIDAD- LEA LO SIGUIENTE ANTES DE CARGAR ESTA RECORTADORA/RECORTADORA DE ACABADO
Retire la recortadora/recortadora de acabado inalámbrica de Andis y el adaptador de CA de la caja. El adaptador de voltaje doble tendrá que ajustarse manualmente al voltaje correcto antes de enchufar en un tomacorriente eléctrico. En los EE.UU., el adaptador deberá fijarse a un ajuste de 120V (Figura A). Enchufe el adaptador en un tomacorriente de 120V (o de 240V CA, según las normas eléctricas de su localidad). Observe que el interruptor ON/OFF (de encendido y apagado) de la recortadora/recortadora de acabado debe estar en la posición OFF (de apagado) para que la batería pueda cargarse. Enchufe el cable del adaptador directamente en la recortadora/ recortadora de acabado (Figura B). Se encenderá la luz verde de la recortadora/recortadora de acabado. La recortadora/recortadora de acabado no se carga en la fábrica. Vuelva a cargar la recortadora/ recortadora de acabado durante 12 horas (de la noche a la mañana) antes del primer uso, a fin de lograr un rendimiento máximo.
Puede mantener la recortadora/recortadora de acabado enchufada en el adaptador cuando no esté en uso. El adaptador mantendrá la
batería a plena carga y la luz verde permanecerá encendida. La unidad tiene una batería de hidruro metálico y níquel que no puede ser dañada por sobrecarga. No obstante ello, recomendamos desenchufar el adaptador si la recortadora/recortadora de acabado no se va a usar durante siete días o más.
TENGA EN CUENTA LO SIGUIENTE: Las baterías de hidruro metálico y níquel tienen menos “efecto de memoria” que las baterías de níquel y cadmio. El efecto de memoria es causado por usos cortos repetidos de la recortadora/ recortadora de acabado, seguidos de una carga. La batería nunca se descarga completamente, y, por lo tanto, “se olvida” cuánta energía puede almacenar. A fin de maximizar el rendimiento de su batería de hidruro metálico y níquel, siga los pasos indicados a continuación:
1.Engrase la hoja. Encienda la recortadora y permita que funcione hasta que la hoja disminuya significativamente su velocidad. No es necesario dejar que la hoja se detenga completamente.
2.Apague la recortadora/recortadora de acabado. Cárguela de la noche a la mañana.
3.Repita el procedimiento anterior cada sesenta días.
SI NO SE CARGA:
1.Asegúrese de que haya tensión eléctrica en el tomacorriente de pared (confirme esto usando un artefacto que sepa que está funcionando).

OPERACIÓN
Para usar la recortadora/recortadora de acabado, mueva el botón del interruptor hacia la hoja para encender las luces LED y la recortadora/recortadora de acabado. Para detener el funcionamiento y apagar las luces, mueva el botón interruptor a la posición original. Si observa que las luces LED se están desvaneciendo o están parpadeando, ésta es una señal de que la recortadora de acabado necesita ser cargada.
Las luces LED le proporcionan estas características:
1.Circuito LED exclusivo de Andis para brindar una máxima vida útil de los LED.
2.Dos luces LED para una completa cobertura de las hojas.
3.Las luces LED robustas soportan el uso profesional de la recortadora de acabado sin quemarse.
4.La fuente de luz LED blanca ultrabrillante no genera calor.
MANTENIMIENTO POR PARTE DEL USUARIO
El mecanismo interno de su recortadora ha sido lubricado de manera permanente en la fábrica. No debe realizarse ningún tipo de mantenimiento que no fuera el mantenimiento recomendado en este manual, salvo por Andis Company o por una Estación de Servicio de Reparación Autorizada de Andis.

en aerosol contienen una cantidad insuficiente de aceite |

limpiar el exceso de cabello de sus hojas usando un |
