Apple TV Status Light

Apple TV has a status light on the front that indicates what’s happening.

If Apple TV is	The status light
On	Is solid white
Off or in standby	Is off
Starting up	Blinks amber
Accepting a command from the remote	Flashes white once
Rejecting a command from the remote	Flashes amber once
(you’ve paired a remote with Apple TV but
you’re using a remote that’s not paired)
