Ariens Company had been notified by Briggs & Stratton® Corp. that some Briggs & Stratton engines in the serial number ranges above may have been manufactured with residual fuel hose assembly lubricant in the carburetor potentially resulting in repeated starting difficulties or erratic operation.

If encountered during pre-delivery set-up or due to a customer complaint, Dealers are to repair or replace the carburetor.

As stated in the attached letter from Briggs & Stratton (see page 2), dealers are to file a warranty claim with Briggs & Stratton for each repair following the warranty guidelines.
