CONDITION:
During recent routine quality audits of subject engines, we identified that some of our fuel hose assembly lubricant had entered the carburetor on subject engines, potentially affecting performance. We subsequently cleaned the fuel systems of affected product with an isopropanol solution or by running the engine with aviation fuel. In some of the cleaned engines, we have since identified traces of oxidation and/or a gel residue on the internal surfaces of the carburetor. INSPECTION / REPAIR ACTION:
If the engine starts easily and operation is stable, no further action is required. If, during routine

NOTE: Transfer the choke shaft and choke plate components from the original carburetor to the new one, per the instructions included with the carburetor.
WARRANTY:
File warranty claims per normal warranty guidelines. Carburetor cleaning/repair or replacement can typically be accomplished in 45 minutes or less. Enter 125 in the IPL Reference Number field and enter SP in the Condition Code field. In addition to recording the required engine information in the respective fields, also include the snowthrower model and serial number in the equipment section of the claim form. Please retain and tag any carburetor that is replaced under warranty so that, if requested, factory returns can be accommodated.
