SATA Controller 1 Mode Selection [AHCI]

This item allows you to set the SATA configuration.

[Disabled]

Disables the SATA function.

[IDE Mode]

Set to [IDE Mode] when you want to use the Serial ATA hard disk drives as

 

Parallel ATA physical storage devices.

[AHCI Mode]

Set to [AHCI Mode] when you want the SATA hard disk drives to use the

 

AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface). The AHCI allows the onboard

 

storage driver to enable advanced Serial ATA features that increases

 

storage performance on random workloads by allowing the drive to

 

internally optimize the order of commands.

[RAID Mode]

Set to [RAID Mode] when you want to create a RAID configuration from the

 

SATA hard disk drives.

The following item appears only when you set the SATA Mode Selection to [IDE].

SATA6G_1-6 (Gray)

These items display all connected devices to SATA6G ports. If some ports are not used, these items show [Not Installed].

SATA Controller 2 Mode Selection [AHCI]

This item allows you to set the SATA configuration.

[Disabled]

Due to Intel® chipset specification, the SATA ports from SATA controller 2 does not support Intel® Rapid Storage Technology including RAID configuration.

SATA6G_7-10 (Black)

These items display all connected devices to SATA6G ports. If some ports are not used, these items show [Not Installed].

Support Aggressive Link Power Management [Disabled]

This item is designed for LPM (link power management) support with a better energy saving conditions. When disabled, the hot plug function of SATA ports are disabled.

Configuration options: [Disabled] [Enabled]

Hot Plug [Disabled] (SATA6G_1-6 (Gray) / SATA6G_7-10 (Black))

These items allow you to enable/disable SATA Hot Plug Support.
