FCC Part 68 & ACTA
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules and
with technical requirements adopted by the Administrative
Council for Terminal Attachments (ACTA). The label on
the back or bottom of this equipment contains, among
other things, a product identifier in the format US:
AAAEQ##TXXXX. This identifier must be provided to your
local teleph one co mpany upon r equest.
The p lug an d jack used to con nect t his eq uipmen t to
premises wiring and the telephone network must comply
with applicable Part 68 rules and technical requirements
adopte d by ACTA. A compl iant te lephon e cord and m odular
plug is pro vided with t his pro duct. It is design ed to be
connected to a compatible modular jack that is also
compli ant. A n RJ11 jack should norma lly be used for
connec ting t o a s ingle line a nd an RJ14 j ack fo r two lines.

The Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) is used to determine
how m any de vices you ma y conn ect to your telepho ne
line and still have them ring when you are called. The REN
for t his pr oduct is enc oded a s the 6th an d 7th charac ters
following the US: in the product identifier (e.g., if ## is 03,
the R EN is 0.3). In mo st, bu t not all a reas, t he sum of a ll
RENs should be fi ve (5. 0) or less. For mo re inf ormatio n,
please conta ct you r loca l tele phone company.
This equipme nt may not be use d with Party Lines . If y ou
have specially wired alarm dialing equipment connected
to yo ur tel ephone line, ensure the c onnecti on of this
equipment does not disable your alarm equipment. If you
have questions about what will disable alarm equipment,
consul t your telep hone c ompany or a qualif ied ins taller.
