Handset settings
Ringer volume
You can set the handset ringer volume level (1-6), or turn the ringer off.
When the ringer is off, appears on the handset screen.
Press MENU/SELECT in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to >RINGERS. Press
MENU/SELECT.
Press MENU/SELECT to select >RINGER VOLUME .
Press DIR or CID to sample each volume level.
Press MENU/SELECT to save your preference.
NOTES:
Changing the handset rin ger volume does not affec t the base ringer volume. Fo r more
information on the base ri nger volume, see Telephone bas e ringer volume on page 19.
If the handset ringer volum e is set to off, that handset ri nger is silenced for all incomi ng
calls; however, that handse t still plays the paging tone w hen initiating the handse t locator
feature (see Handset loca tor on page 27).
While the telephone is ringi ng, press OFF/CLEAR or MUTE to sile nce the ringer
temporarily on the handse t (see Temporary ringer silen cing on page 20).
Ringer tone
You can choose one of 10 ringer tones for the handset.
Follow steps 1 and 2 in Ringer volume on this page.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to >RINGER TONE, then
press MENU/SELECT.
Press DIR or CID to sample each ringer tone.
Press MENU/SELECT to save your preference.
NOTE: If you turn off the han dset ringer volume, you wil l not hear ringer tone samples .
LCD language
You can select the language used for all screen dis plays.
Press MENU/SELECT in idle mode to enter the main menu.
Press DIR or CID to scroll to >SETTINGS.
Press MENU/SELECT twice to select >LCD LANGUAGE.
Press DIR or CID to select ENGLISH, FRANÇ AIS or
ESPAÑOL.
Press MENU/SELECT to save your preference.
