Making a call

To make a call:

1.Press PHONE/FLASH, then wait for the dial tone.

-OR-

Press SPEAKER to use the speakerphone, then wait for the dial tone.

2.Use the dial pad keys to enter the telephone number.

On-hook dialing (predialing):

The screen displays the elapsed time as you talk (in hours, minutes and seconds).

1. Use the dial pad keys to enter the telephone number

 

(up to 30 digits).

• Press and hold REDIAL/PAUSE to insert a three-second

dialing pause (a P appears).

•Press DELETE or OFF/CLEAR to make corrections.

2.Press PHONE/FLASH to call.

-OR-

Press SPEAKER to call using the speakerphone.

-OR-

Press and hold OFF/CLEAR to return to idle mode.

NOTE: Pressing PHONE/FLASH to access services from your telephone service provider does not affect the elapsed time.

Temporary ringer silencing

 

To silence the ringer temporarily on the handset only:

RINGER MUTED

 

 

 

• While the telephone is ringing, press OFF/CLEAR or

 

MUTE.

 

 

 

 

 

To silence the ringer temporarily on the telephone base:

• While the telephone is ringing, press VOLUME on the telephone base.

This turns off the ringer without disconnecting the call. The next incoming call rings normally at the preset volume.
