CP700 COMMERCIAL POWER AMPLIFIER

OWNER'S MANUAL

Unbalanced Input

Unbalanced wiring typically is found on consumer equipment (CD players, DVD players, etc.) and is generally a compromise of noise rejection and cable lengths. A single conductor and an overall shield are most common, as in the "bargain type" cables supplied with consumer gear. Keep unbalanced wire lengths within 10 feet between equipment, and wire the hot lead to the "+" terminal, and the shield to the ground terminal. Do not forget to install a jumper wire between the "-" terminal and the ground, as a loss of gain will result without this jumper (Figure 4).
