To Receive.
1. Set the desired channel and CTCSS code.
2. Adjust the volume control to the desired listening volume by
using the up and down buttonswhile observing the volume
indicatoron the display
3. Thetransceiver will play strong signals through its internal
speaker or through a headset if so equipped.
ToTransmit
1. Setthe desired channel.
2. Pressand hold the P (Push-to-Talk)button while speaking slowly
and clearly in a normal voice, approximately 2 to 3 inches
fromthe microphone.
3. Thetransmit indicator will illuminate while transmitting.
4. Releasethe P (Push-to-Talk)button when you finish speaking
to receive incoming signals.
Monitor Function
The monitor button can be used to play all signals present on a
channel. This is useful when communicating with other parties at
extremerange.
Themonitor function can be locked on by pressing its button for
three seconds. A confirmation tone indicates that the monitor
lockhas been activated. Pressing either the call, P(Push-to-Talk)
ormonitor buttons will unlock the monitor function.
