CTCSS Mode (Sub-Channel) Selection

The CTCSS provides 38 Sub-Frequencies to allow you to utilize the coded squelch tones (00–38). In order to communicate with another party on the same main channel and the same subcode must be used. This filters out unwanted trans- missions without the same coded squelch tone. To change the CTCSS Sub-channel,

-Press the Function (F) button twice or until the sub-channel number to the right of the main channel number begins flashing.

-Then press the Up or Down button to select the desired sub-channel for use.
