DVR

!SVCD

When you choose this format, the recorded video file will be saved in MPEG-2 format that is compliant with SVCD standards. Standard SVCD frame size and frame rate are 480 x 480 pixels at 29.97 fps for NTSC and 480 x 576 at 25 fps for PAL.

!DVD

When you choose this format, the recorded video file will be saved in MPEG-2 format that is compliant with DVD standards. Standard DVD frame size and frame rate are 720 x 480 pixels at 29.97 fps for NTSC and 720 x 576 at 25 fps for PAL.

!AVI

AVI is the most common video file format for playback on the computer. It can be saved in uncompressed form if you want high quality video, or compressed using any of the available codecs if you want to minimize the file size.

From the Video Standard drop-down list, selecting Auto Selection allows the application to automatically set the video standard for recorded video files based on the video system used by the current video source (selected in the Channel tab).

To customize AVI setting, click the Setting button at the bottom of the Setup dialog box, and AVI’s Setup dialog box will appear. You can choose a Video or Audio codec from the Encoder drop-down list.

"Record Audio Only

If you want to record only the audio from a TV program or video, enable Record Audio Only. Then click the setting button at the bottom of the Setup dialog box. In the Audio Setup dialog box, select a file format from the Encorer drop-down list.
