Important Note: The Hub must be connected to a USB 2.0- compliant host in order
to function in high -speed mode ( 480Mbps dat a rate). If t he Hub is conne cted to
a USB 1.1-compliant host, it wil l operate only in low-spee d or full-spe ed mode
(1.5Mbps/12Mbps).
3. Windows will now detect yo ur Hub and inst all the requir ed driver supp ort. (The
Windows “Install New Hardware Wiz ard” may prompt you to provide y our Windows
Installation CD to comp lete the driver installation p rocess.)
Important Note: High-spee d hub drivers a re included wi th most USB 2.0 P CI
upgrade cards, and ar e preinstalle d along with th e PCI card drive rs. If you pur chased
an upgrade card prio r to the release of high-spe ed hub suppor t, please che ck
with your PCI card vendo r for an update d USB 2.0 driver. T he Belkin USB 2 .0 driver
supports all compe titive cards bas ed on the NEC h ost controller with the excepti on
of Adaptec.
4. Plug the USB A connector of t he USB device, or an additional hub, into any of th e
downstream ports of the Hub.
Important Note: When moving a device from o ne port on th e Hub to another, i t may
be necessary to rein stall the USB dr ivers for that d evice.
