Positioning the device
•Position the device on a solid, level, heat resistant surface and ensure that there is sufcient ventilation around the device. The distance between the back of the device and the wall should be a minimum of 10 cm, the space between the top of the device and any shelves or other objects should also be 10 cm and there should be a gap of 5 cm between the sides of the device and any walls or objects. This means that the device may not be positioned in cupboards or similar places.
•When selecting a suitable base for your grill and oven, please note that the feet of the grill can leave marks on the base you have chosen.
•Do not position the device in the immediate vicinity of water, e.g. sinks, washing bowls or in damp cellars.
Starting up the device
1.Unpack your new electrical grill and oven as well as all accessories.
2.Before using the device for the rst time, the device and all accessories must be cleaned to remove all packing residues. Simply clean the accessories in hot water with a little washing up liquid and then dry thoroughly.
3.Wipe down the casing of the device with a damp cloth and then dry it carefully.
4.Once the inside and outside of the device are completely dry, plug the mains plug into the wall socket.
5.Now switch the device on without any accessories or food. Leave the door of the device com pletely open.
6.Set the temperature control (1) to 250° C, and using the function selector switch (3) select upper heat, lower heat or upper and lower heat.
7.Set the timer (4) to 15 minutes.
