The key to Mosquito Halo™ Blocks Mosquitoes Mosquito Inhibitor System's power is the way it turns the insects’ keen sense of smell and poor eyesight against them. Mosquitoes and biting flies have an amazing sense of smell.
They can detect your scent from up to 100 yards (91 meters) away. However, they have very poor eyesight. The visual range of mosquitoes is about 10 yards (9 meters). When mosquitoes detect your scent, they immediately fly toward you, even though you are well beyond their visual range. That’s where the Mosquito Halo™ Blocks Mosquitoes Mosquito Inhibitor System comes in. The unit’s patented inhibitor blocks mosquitoes' ability to track your scent. If they can’t smell you, they can’t get close enough to see you. If they can’t see you they can’t bite!
Placement of Mosquito Halo™ Blocks Mosquitoes Mosquito Inhibitor System
Always place the unit where people gather. Recommended use is one unit per 100 square feet (9m2). Use more for larger areas. Satisfactory results depend on the area you want to cover and the severity of the local mosquito population.
Experiment to find the number of units that are right for you.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS
Hazards to Humans and Domestic Animals
CAUTION: Contents of replacement scent cartridges are harmful if swallowed or if directly inhaled. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid direct inhalation, or contact with eyes or clothing. Wash hands thoroughly after opening the replacement scent cartridge if contact with contents occurred.
Directions for Use
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
This unit is for outdoor use only. It is weather resistant.
Note: For maximum protection, place the unit on a high flat surface near where people gather such as a patio or picnic table. If there is a breeze, be sure to place the unit
1. To activate, remove the Battery. Cover located at the bottom of the unit. Turn cover counterclockwise to align cover slot with tab and pull off cover (A).
Note: Make sure the ON/OFF Dial is in the OFF position (down) before installing the batteries. Always be sure to remove the Scent Cartridge before installing or replacing the batteries.
2.Insert 4 AA batteries (not included with all models) into Battery Compartment. Install batteries following markings for placement (B).
Note: Included batteries are not rechargeable.
Attention: Battery may explode or cause injury if disassembled, recharged or exposed to fire.
3.To replace the Battery Cover. Align cover slot with tab and push in. Turn clockwise until cover is secure.
4.Open the unit door. Hold the door on both sides. Using the Finger Notch for more control, pull open from right to left.
5.Carefully peel off Scent Cartridge foil cover. Wash hands thoroughly after opening the Scent Cartridge if contact with contents occurred.
6.Slide the Scent Cartridge into the side slots of the compartment below the Fan (C).
Important: To put the Scent Cartridge in place, the unit must be in the upright position.
7.Close the door from left to right pushing firmly.
8.To turn on unit, rotate the ON/OFF Dial counterclockwise (D). The ON/OFF Dial pops up to the ON position, exposing additional vents, Indicator Lights glow, the Fan turns on and, in certain models, the Speaker emits
ultrasonic sounds. To turn off the unit, press the ON/OFF Dial and rotate clockwise to the OFF position.
Be sure to turn off unit when not in use.
You are now ready to enjoy your outdoor activities. Use a unit for every 100 square feet (9m2) of patio or deck. Replace batteries as needed. Replace Scent Cartridge after 30 days of use (running at 4 hours of use/day) or when scent diminishes.
Environmental Hazards
Do not apply directly to water. Do not contaminate water when disposing of Scent Cartridge or dispenser.
Storage and Disposal
Cartridge Storage: Store in original container in a cool, dry area.
Cartridge Disposal: Securely wrap original container in several layers of newspaper and discard in the trash.
Notice: Buyer assumes all responsibility for safety and use not in accordance with directions.
Care and Storage
•Do not immerse unit in water or in any other liquid.
•Do not leave the unit exposed in the rain.
•If the Scent Cartridge is in place, the unit must be in the upright position.
•Place unit away from rodent pets such as rats, mice, hamsters and Guinea pigs.
•If the lights appear dim, replace the batteries.
Note: Before replacing the batteries, remove the Scent Cartridge.
•Before storing the unit, remove the batteries.
•If storing the unit inside an enclosed area for extended periods of time, remove Scent Cartridge, securely wrap original container in several layers of newspaper and discard in the trash.

Esta unidad emite un aroma inhibidor que ataca el olfato agudo de los mosquitos obstruyéndoles los receptores sensoriales. Una vez deteriorada la habilidad de seguir los olores, los mosquitos tienen mayor dificultad para localizar a las personas o a los animales, particularmente si éstos se encuentran en la cercanía de la unidad.

La unidad se debe colocar dondequiera que se reúnen las personas. Se recomienda el uso de una unidad por cada 9 metros cuadrados (100 pies cuadrados). Se debe aumentar el número de unidades según la cantidad de personas reunidas.
