Assembly
!WARNING Disconnect battery pack from tool or place the
switch in the locked or off position before making any assembly, adjustments or changing accessories. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally.
ROTATING / CHANGING THE CUTTERS The upper and lower cutters are identical, each has four cutting edges and can be interchanged or rotated.
When the cutting performance is unsatisfactory, rotate each cutter 90° or replace.
To rotate cutter, loosen the attachment screw of the respective cutter, rotate the cutter 90° and
To replace cutter, remove attachment screw from respective cutter, position new cutter as shown in figure 1 and thread screw into cutter and securely tighten.
Ensure that the lower cutter rests against the adjustment screw.
ADjUSTING THE CUTTER CLEARANCE The cutter clearance a has been adjusted at the factory to 0.004" and does not need to be changed.
For working primarily with ductile,
a brittle or thin sheet metal, the following values/cutter clearance gives optimum cutting results:
Loosen attachment screw of the lower cutter and adjust with the adjustment screw to the
required clearance a. Check the clearance with the cutter gauge. Retighten the screw (Fig. 1).
! CAUTION | The cutters must not touch | |
each other. | ||

The use of any accessory or ! WARNING attachment other than
recommended in this instruction manual or the BOSCH Catalog may present a risk of personal injury

Operating Instructions
PROTECTION AGAINST DEEP
DISCHARGING
The lithium ion battery is protected against deep discharging by the “Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)”. When the battery is empty, the tool is switched off by means of a protective circuit.
SLIDE "ON/OFF" SWITCH
The tool is switched "ON" by the slide switch located on the topside of the motor housing (Fig. 1).
TO TURN THE TOOL "ON" slide the switch button forward to the “I” .
TO TURN THE TOOL "OFF" slide the switch button backward the “0” .
HAND GUARD
The hand guard protects the hands while cutting, and deflects material downwards and away from the operator. The hand guard must be used at all times while using this shear (Fig. 1).
