11.TROUBLE SHOOTING
Beforegoing through the check list, check wiring connection. If any of the problems persist after check
listhas been made, consult your nearest service dealer.
Symptom Cause Solution
Nopower Thecar ignition is not on. Ifthe power supply is properly connected
tothe car accessory terminal, switch the
ignitionkey to “ACC”
Disccannot be loaded
orejected
Thefuse is blown. Replacethe fuse.
Presenceof CD disc inside
theplayer.
Removethe disc in the player, then put a
newone.
Insertingthe disc in reverse
direction. Insertthe compact disc with the label
facingupward.
Compactdisc is extremely
dirtyor defective disc.
Cleanthe disc or try to play a new one.
Temperatureinside the car is
toohigh.
Cooloff or until the ambient temperature
returnsto normal.
Condensation. Leavethe player off for an hour or so,
thentry again.
Volumeis in minimum. Adjustvolume to a desired level.
Wiringis not properly
connected. Checkwiring connection.
Theoperation keys do
notwork
Nosound
Thebuilt-in microcomputer is
notoperating properly due to
noise.
Pressthe RESET button.
Frontpanel is not properly fixed into its
place
Soundskips. Theinstallation angle is
morethan 30 degrees. Adjustthe installation angle to less than
30degrees.
Thedisc is extremely dirty or a
defectivedisc. Cleanthe compact disc or try to play a
newone.
Theantenna cable is not
connected. Insertthe antenna cable firmly.
Thesignals are too weak. Selecta station manually.
Theradio does not
work.
Theradio station
automaticselection
doesnot work.
ERROR1 Mechanism Error Press the reset button if the error code
doesnot disappear, consult your nearest
servicedealer.
ERROR2 Servo Error Pressthe reset button if the error code
doesnot disappear, consult your nearest
servicedealer.
