Testing Your GenAlert

Release the star key.
GenAlert will call the programmed number and play
the prerecorded alarm message. Canceling the alarm
for this test is not required.
Testing GenAlert Alarm.
The alarm goes off when the generator fails to
run when it is needed. To simulate this failure the
generator needs to be running to see the fault, then
shuts down, followed by the GenAlert calling the
programed number.
Simulate a fault by turning the generator circuit
breaker to the off position. The generator should
shut down and display the fault.
The red LED will light up and GenAlert will then
call the programmed number and indicate an
alarm.
