bPlace the battery in the correct position
as shown below.
cSlide the battery cover back on.
Note
• Be careful that you do not catch the
battery connector cord.
• After replacement, you should set the date
and time.
(See Date and Time on page 19.)
dCharge the battery for 12 hours. (See
Charging the battery on page 22.)
Registering additional
cordless handsets 1
You can register 3 additional cordless
handsets for a total of 4 cordless handsets to
the machine (base unit). The cordless
handset that was included with your machine
is already registered with the machine (base
unit).
For non-Color LCD model 1
aPress Menu/OK on the cordless
handset.
Note
If you see Enter Register HS mode
on Base Unit on the LCD of the
cordless handset, go to step c.
bPress a or b to choose Register HS.
Press Menu/OK.
cPress Menu, 0, 6 on the control panel of
the machine (base unit).
dPress OK on the control panel of the
machine (base unit).
You will hear one long beep when the
cordless handset is registered correctly.
Note
• If you hear three short beeps, the cordless
handset did not register. Repeat steps b
and d.
• I f you want to install another cordless
handset, repeat steps a through d.
ePress Stop/Exit on the control panel of
the machine (base unit).
