Checking the print qu ality
If faded or streaked colors and text appears o n your output, some of
the nozzles may be clogged. Y ou can check this by printing th e Print
Quality Check Sheet and looking at the nozzle check pattern.

Press Ink.

Press or to select
Test Print.
Press Set.

Press or to select
Print Quality.
Press Set.

Press Color Start.
The DCP begins printing the Print Quality Check Sheet.

Follow the instructions giv en on the sheet to see if the quality is
OK.
Color block quality check
The LCD shows:

Check the quality of the fou r color
blocks on the sheet.

If all lines are clear and visible, press
(Yes) and go to
Step 10.
—OR—
If you can see missing short lin es as shown below,
press (No).
The LCD will ask you if the print
quality is OK for black and three
colors.
