Send/save text messages
1. Press Menu,scroll left to SMS messages menu and press OK.

Write message
is highlighted. Press OK.
3. The display shows
Enter message
.Begin typing your
message using the keypad. When you have finished press OK.
4. The display shows

.Enter the phone number you
want tosend the message toand press OK.Alternatively:
Press Optto send to a number in the calls list or redial list.
Or, press to send to a number in stored in the directory.

Send message
is highlighted. Press OKtosend the message.
Or,scroll to
Save message
and press OKtosave the
message in the outbox for sending later (see page 31).
Receiving and reading text messages
When you receive new textmessages, you will hear the
message alert beep and the display will show
New message
.
Also, when you have new messages the message icon will
appear above the button. Pressing the button will
takeyou directly tothe inboxwhere you can read your new
messages. Alternatively:

Entering text
Use the keypad to enter characters.
When you press a button on the
keypad, the characters available are
shown at the bottom of the display.
Press the button repeatedly to move
through the characters shown.
Forexample,press twice to enter

Press once to enter
t
.
If the next character you want to enter
is on the same button, wait for the
cursor tomove right.
Writing tips
If you makeamistake, use and
to move left and right through the
message and press Delto delete
characters.
Press to enter a space.
Press toswitch between upper
and lower case letters and numbers.
Use , and to enter other
punctuation characters.
If you have morethan one handset,
all handsets use the same inbox
and outbox.
