MDI/MDI-X Crossover Cable Wiring
Figure A-1 shows the wiring scheme for impl em e nti ng a crossover cable
if needed for connection to the switch’s 10Base-T or 100Base-TX ports.
Such a cable may be required when connecting the switch to another
switch or a hub device.

Power Cord Set Requirements
The wide-range input feature of the ELS100-24TXG Ethernet switch
permits it to operate from any line voltage between 100 and 240 VAC.
The power cord set (a pp liance coupler, fl ex ible cord, and wall pl ug) you
received with the swi tc h meets the requiremen ts for use in the countr y
where you purchased the switch.
Power cord sets for use in other co untries must meet t he req uirem ents of
the country where you use the switch. For more information on power
cord set requirements, contact your Cabletron System Support
Representative.
General Requirements
The requirements lis t ed below are applicabl e to all countries:
The length of the power cord set must be at least 5.00 feet (1.5 m)
and a maximum of 6.56 feet (2.0 m).
All power cord sets must be approved by an acceptable accredited
agency responsible for evaluation in the country where the power
cord set will be used.
The power cord set must have a minimum current cap acity of 10A
and a nominal voltage ratin g of 12 5 or 250 V AC, as r equir ed b y eac h
country’s power system.
The appliance coupler must meet the mec hanical configur ation of an
EN 60 320/IEC 320 Standard Sheet C13 connector for mating with
appliance inlet on the switch.
