Canon LIMITED WARRANTY
TheLimited Warranty setforth below is given by Canon U.S.A., Inc. in the United States and Canon Canada, Inc. in Canada (herein referred to collectively as "Canon") with respect to the
CanonBinoculars and Photographic Lens Products packaged with this Limited Warranty and identified by model numberon this Limited Warranty Card (each a"Producf') when purchased and
usedin the United States
or
Canada.
ThisLimited Warranty is only effective upon presentation
of
thiswarranty card and proof
of
purchase.
AProduct,when delivered to you
in
newcondition in its original container, iswarranted against defects in materials
or
workmanshipas follows: for aperiod of one (1) yearfrom the date of
originalpurchase, defective parts oradefective Product returned to Canon or its authorized service providers, and proven to be defective upon inspection, will be repaired with new
or
comparablerebuilt parts
or
exchangedforarefurbished Product, as determined by Canon
or
theauthorized service provider, in theirsole discretion. Replaced parts and exchanged Products
willbecome the property
of
Canon.
Whenreturning aProduct for warranty service, the shipping charges must be prepaid and the Product should be shipped
in
itsoriginal container,
or
anequivalent, properly packed to withstand
thehazards of shipment and be fully insured. Acopy of this warranty card and proof
of
purchaseshould be enclosed, as
wel~as
adescriptionof the problem (including film samples, where
appropriate). Repairswill be made and the Product will be returned, shipped at
NO
CHARGE,within the country of repair.
Thiswarranty only covers defective materials
or
workmanshipencountered
in
normaluse and service
of
aProductanddoes not apply in the following cases:
(a)Loss
or
damagedue to neglect and/orabuse causing deterioration, mishandling, accident
or
failuretofollow operating instructions.
(b)If aProduct is defective as a result of leaking batteries
or
damagedueto water or other liquid.
(c)Defective materials
or
workmanshipwhere the defectis due to aProduct having been serviced or modified by other than Canon
or
aCanonauthorized service provider.
(d)Malfunction resulting from the use
of
accessories,attachments, supplies, parts
or
devices(including, without limitation, batteries, film, flash attachments and otheraccessories) that do not
conformto Canon specifications.
(e)Damage resulting during shipment. (Claim must be presented and examined by the shipper).
(f) Damage
or
serviceresulting from modifications
or
alterationsto aProductin any way (inclUding any alteration
or
removalof its serial number
or
identificationmarks).
NOIMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITYOR FITNESS FOR APARTICULAR PURPOSE, APPLIES TO APRODUCT AFTER
THE
APPLICABLEPERIOD
OF
THE
EXPRESSLIMITED WARRANTY STATED ABOVE, AND NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTY OR GUARANTY, EXCEPTAS MENTIONED ABOVE, GIVEN

CANONBE GREATER IN AMOUNT THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE

FOREGOING,YOU ASSUME ALL RISK AND LIABILITY FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY TO
