28 – 1344 mm (28 – 336 mm with optical zoom alone)

IXUS 240 HS

24 – 480 mm (24 – 120 mm with optical zoom alone)

•To deactivate digital zoom, touch H and then n, choose [Digital Zoom] on the 4tab, and then choose [Off].

Using the Self-Timer

With the self-timer, you can include yourself in group photos or other timed shots. The camera will shoot about 10 seconds after you press the shutter button.

Configure the setting.

zTouch H, choose in the menu, and then choose ](p. 49).

XOnce the setting is complete, ]is displayed.

Shoot.

zFor Still Images: Press the shutter button halfway to focus on the subject, and then press it all the way down.

zFor Movies: Touch .

XOnce you start the self-timer, the lamp will

blink and the camera will play a self-timer sound.

XTwo seconds before the shot, the blinking and sound will speed up. (The lamp will remain lit in case the flash fires.)

zTo cancel shooting after you have triggered the self-timer, touch the screen.

zTo restore the original setting, choose in step 1.
