Practicing Individual Parts

(Part Lesson)

The left-hand part (or secondo part) and right-hand part (or primo part) are recorded separately for Music Library tunes. Because of this, you can turn off either part and play along with the other part on the keyboard. The terms “primo” and “secondo” refer to the parts of duet tunes.

PREPARATION

• Perform steps 1 and 2 of the procedure under “To play back a Music Library tune” on page E-25 to select the Music Library tune you want to practice.

• Set the tempo you want to use during the part lesson. Use the same procedure that you use to set the tempo of the metronome (page E-19).
