IMPORTANT!

You may not be able to achieve the brightness you want when shooting an image that is very dark or very bright. If this happens, use the M mode to adjust the aperture or shutter speed manually.

In the S mode, ISO sensitivity (page 40) always operates according to its “AUTO” setting. The ISO sensitivity setting cannot be changed while in the S mode.

While A, S, or M is selected for the recording mode, the flash will not fire if > (Auto Flash) or ¥ (Red Eye Reduction) is selected as the flash mode. If you want the flash to fire, select < (Flash On) as the flash mode.

The displayed ISO sensitivity, shutter speed or aperture value will turn orange when you half-press the shutter button if the image is overexposed or underexposed.
