Status
The Status tab displays the detected settings of
the Wireless LAN CF Card (Fig. 5).
Connected to - Displays the name of the
Wireless Access Point.
AP MAC Addr - Displays the MAC Address of
your Wireless Access Point.
ModeDisplays the selected network mode
(Infrastructure, Ad-Hoc, or 802.11 Ad-Hoc)
Channel - Displays the current channel that the
CompactWLAN is using
Link Rate - Displays the data transmission speed
between the CompactWLAN and an Access
Point.

Configuration
The Configuration tab contains several
adjustable parameters for the operation of
the CompactWLAN. Click the Apply
button to allow the changes take effect (Fig.
6)
Network Mode
The CompactWLAN can operate in 3
network modes. If you need to access a
company network or Internet via an Access
Point, select Infrastructure. To set up
a group of wireless stations for file and
printer sharing, select Ad-Hoc or
802.11 Ad-Hoc
(without Access Point).
If Ad-Hoc is selected, you need

to set each wireless station to the same channel. For 802.11 Ad-Hoc, the same ESSID are required
to the wireless stations.
