Instalación del Rack

Antes de comenzar

Al determinarse dónde instalar el switch, verifique que se cumplan estos requisitos:

El aire alrededor del switch y a través de los respiraderos circula libremente.

La temperatura alrededor del switch no excede a 113°F (45°C).

La humedad alrededor del switch no excede al 85 por ciento.

El espacio para los paneles frontales y posteriores del switch cumplen con estas condiciones:

Los LEDs del panel frontal pueden leerse fácilmente.

El acceso a los puertos es suficiente para un cableado sin restricciones.

El cable de alimentación AC puede llegar del enchufe de corriente alterna al conector en el panel posterior del switch.

El cableado está lejos de las fuentes de ruido eléctrico, tales como radios, líneas de energía, y luces fluorescentes.

La altitud en el sitio de la instalación no es mayor que 10,000 pies (3,049 metros).

Para los puertos 10/100 y 10/100/1000, el largo del cable de un switch a un dispositivo conectado no puede exceder a los 328 pies (100 metros).
