client-name

To specify the name of a Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) client, use the client-nameDHCP pool configuration command. The client name should not include the domain name. Use the no form of this command to remove the client name.

client-name name no client-name

Syntax Description

name

Specifies the client’s name, using any standard ASCII character. The

 

client name should not include the domain name. For example, the

 

name mars should not be specified as mars.cisco.com.
