Configuration Text File Template
Note A tool called bitaid.exe is bundled with your CiscoATA software. You can use this tool
to help you configure values of Cisco ATA bitmap parameters. The tool prompts you for
the necessary information.
Extended IP address—IP address followed by port number (for example, 192.168.2.170.9001)
IP address (e.g. 192.168.2.170)
Integer (32-bit integer)
Numeric digit string
Note The term Cisco ATA is used throughout this manual to refer to both the CiscoATA186 and the
Cisco ATA188, unless differences between the Cisco ATA186 and Cisco ATA188 are explicitly stated.
Note This section contains recommended values for the United States and other countries as configuration
examples for certain parameters. For detailed recommendations of tone-parameter values by country, see
Appendix E, “Recommended Cisco ATATone Parameter Values by Country.”
Configuration Text File Template
This is a listing of the h323_example.txt text file, without its annotations, that comes bundled with the
Cisco ATA software.
You can make a copy of this file and use it as a template for creating your own default configuration file
or Cisco ATA-specific conf iguration file. For instructions on how to create these configuration files, see
the “Creating Unique and Common CiscoATA Configuration Files” section on page3-9.
The h323_example.txt file contains all the CiscoATA default values. The sections that follow this listing
describe all the parameters in this file.
