Handsfree Operations

There will be some options available in the main unit when BLT573 is connected. In order to display these options, it will depend on each car stereo model. Please refer to the car stereo owner’s manual for these operations.

Downloading phonebook

Phonebook in the mobile phone can be downloaded into the BLT573 when the phone is paired and connected. The mobile phone must support automatic phonebook synchronization in order to perform this automatic phonebook download. Otherwise, user can manually transfer the contacts to the BLT573.

BLT573 is able to hold 500 contacts per mobile phone. There are 5 categories of telephone numbers can be stored on each contact (General, Home, Office, Mobile and other) and up to 5 mobile phones can be supported in BLT573. Depending on the number of contacts, some amount of time may be required until all the contacts have been downloaded.

The phonebook will be updated automatically everytime it connects (only if the phone supports automatic phonebook synchronization).

Notes:

Only contacts that stored in the phone will be downloaded. Please refer to Clarion dealer for downloading of each mobile phone contacts.

When the memory is full, any further download will be impossible. User will need to delete a paired device or contacts to free more space.

Phonebook of not connected Bluetooth® device will not be read.

Phonebook will be deleted automatically when the correspondence paired device has been deleted from the list.

Character display will depend on car stereo; some car stereos can support Japanese, Chinese and other UTF-8 characters.

Received/Dialled/Missed Call History

Any Received/Dialled/Missed call history made will be stored in the BLT573 depends on the type of phone. The BLT573 can hold up to 60 previously call numbers (or according to the phone specification) for each category respectively.

Note:

Some phones support downloading of previously Received/Dialled/Missed Call History.

Call Function

The Clarion car stereo must set to telephone interrupt mode to be able to work with the BLT573, please refer to the owner’s manual of each model for details.

Incoming Call

Whenever your car stereo is operating, the BLT573 is in standby mode awaiting the next call, when an incoming call arrives the car stereo is mute automatically and the ring tone is reproduced through your car’s speaker.

Main unit will temporarily switch to Telephone mode.

Name and telephone will only be displayed in the main unit if the contact is stored in the BLT573 phonebook.

Display will be vary depends on main unit.

Notes:

When an incoming call occurs during Power OFF but car ignition ON, some car stereos will be able to temporary Power ON and switch to Telephone Mode. After the conversation, system will return to power OFF status. Please refer to the car stereo owner’s manual.

Display will return to previous mode after call is ended or rejected.

Always avoid using the phone when it is in low battery level as some mobile phones may cause noises to the speakers.
