It is important that you become familiar with the full capabilities of your new surround processor if you are to get maximum value from your purchase. (Alternatively, you may prefer to have your dealer perform a comprehensive installation of the system, leaving the technical details to the professionals.)

For example: the default settings of the bass management system in the SSP-300 are to divert any bass below 80 Hz, in any channel, to the subwoofer output. This is a reasonably safe choice, since few loudspeakers that are likely to be used with equipment of the SSP-300’s caliber are going to be stressed by these settings.

However, these setting may not be optimal for your particular loudspeaker systems. Your dealer can assist you in determining the best conﬁguration of the bass management system for your speciﬁc situation.
