Making Recording s
While in Standby mode, press (File/Time) to select a folder
location.
Press to start recording. The red Record indicator wi ll light up.
Speak into the inte grated microphone loc ated at the top of
the recorder. If you have con nected an optional, external mi-
crophone to the Mic rophone I n jack located at the top of the
recorder, the integrated micro phone will be disable d.
Press to view the remaining Recording Time.
Press to pause the rec ording. The display will  ash
“PAUSE”. Press again to resume recording.
If the Voice Ac tivated System (VOX) is on, the recorder will
pause recording automatica lly when no sound is dete cted.
Press to stop and save the recording.
Do not remove the b atteries w hile record ing or othe rwise
interrupt the reco rding proce ss. Doing s o may result in lost
or damaged record ing les. The recor der will take a few min-
utes to resume normal operations (the disp lay will read “LOAD”
until normal function resum es).
In order to protect your voice rec ordings, it is good prac tice to
regularly save b ackup copi es or yo ur recordi ngs (see the PC
Connection & S oftware s ection of this manu al for m ore infor-
mation).
Managing Your Recordi ngs
The recorder has four folders (A, B, C, D) in which recordings may be stored.
A total of 396 recordings may be st ored on the recorde r.
A total of 99 recordings may be stor ed in each folder.
