Step 1—AlphaServer DS20 Pedestal Systems

￿Configuration menus require the mandatory selection of:

Windows NT Packaged System and mandatory components:

-One UltraSCSI system disk drive

-Minimum of two SCSI ports1

-One Ethernet adapter

-One graphics adapter

-Windows NT Server license, media kit from Step 11

-Country-specific keyboard and power cord from Step 10 (non-North American orders only)

1.Two SCSI ports are required for internal removable media devices, and internal StorageWorks disk shelf operating in single-bus mode. Note: One additional SCSI port and an H8253-AA UltraSCSI bus splitter kit are required to operate StorageWorks disk shelf in split-bus mode.

￿Windows NT 6/500 MHz CPU Packaged Systems

Compaq’s OEM license agreement for Windows NT mandates compliance with specific configuration rules:

-Selection of language-specific Windows NT Server 4.0 license/media (CD-ROM) kit is mandatory, see Step 11.

Note: Windows NT Pedestal Packaged systems have six available PCI slots. Installation of mandatory options and reduces available PCI slots.
