1.Prepare the notebook for disassembly (Section 5.3).

2.Release the keyboard (Section 5.8).

3.Remove the heat sink (Section 5.12).

4.Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to turn the processor locking screw one-quarter turn counterclockwise 1.

5.Remove the processor from the system board socket 2.

✎Note that the gold triangle 3 on the processor should be aligned in the front left corner when you install the processor.

Removing the Processor

Reverse the above procedure to install the processor.
