Recoil Starter
The recoil starter is attached to the handle. Stand
behind the unit and pull the recoil starter to start the unit.
Primer
The primer is used to pump gas into the carburetor. Use it to start a cold engine, but do not use it to restart a warm engine after short shutdown.
Blade Control Handle
The blade control handle is located on the upper handle of the mower. The blade control handle must
be depressed in order to operate the unit. Release blade control handle to stop engine and blade.

Height Adjustment Lever
These levers are located on each wheel and are used to adjustthe cuttingheight. All four levers have to be at the same relative position to ensure uniformcut.
Engine Speed
Your mower'sengine speed has been set at the
factory. Do not attempt to increase engine speed or it may result in personal injury. If you think that the engine is runningtoo fast or too slow, take your unit to a Sears service center near you
