ASSEMBLY
IMPORTANT: This unit is shipped without gasoline or
oil in the engine. After as sembly, see OPERATION sec-
tion of this manual for proper fu el and engine oil fill-up.
This Chipper Shredder has been c ompletely assembled
at the factory, except for the debris collection bag ,
which is stowed in the chipper chute for shipping.

Removing Unit From Carton

1. Remove staples, brea k glue on top flaps or cut tape
at carton end and peel along top fl ap to open carton.
2. Remove any loose part s.
3. Cut down along car ton edges and lay carton down
flat.
4. Remove packing material, i f present. Lift unit from
the rear and discard bottom pad, if p resent. Roll unit
out of carton. Check carton t horoughly for loose
parts.

2. To attach the bag:
a. Plac e the opening of the bag completely over the
chute deflector.
b. Position the bag s o that the wing knobs which
secure the chute deflector to the impeller h ousing
are completely covered.
c. Pull o n the drawstrap until the bag is tight around
chute deflector opening. See Figure 1.
