Loosen wing nut.
Loosen hex nut securing adjustment screw.
Turn screw and adjust base until square with saw
blade.
Tighten hex nutand wing nut securely.

wing nut securely tightened can result in serious

Your saw has a positive 0°bevel stop, that has been
factory adjusted to assure 0 °angle of your saw blade
when making 90°cuts. However, misalignment can
occur during shipping.
TO CHECK
Unplug your saw.

Place your saw in an upside down position on
workbench. See Figure 18.
Using a carpenter's square, check squareness of
saw blade tothe base of your saw.

A length of cut scale has been provided on the base
of your saw. It is parallel with the saw blade and can
be used to measure the distance into material the
blade has cut. Note: Six inches isthe maximum
length of cut that can be measured. Also, it is
accurate only when the depth of cut is set atfull
maximum depth.
