REPLACINGBATTERY

REPLACINGBATTERY

TO REMOVE HOOD AND GRILL AS- SEMBLY

_IkCAUT!ON: Do not short battery terminais Dy allowing a wrench or any

other object to contact both terminals at the same time, Before connecting battery, remove metal bracelets, wristwatch

bands, rings, etc.

Positive terminal must be connected first

to prevent sparking from accidental grounding.

1.Lift seat pan to raised position and open battery box door.

2.Disconnect BLACK battery cable first then RED battery cable and carefully remove battery from tractor.

3.Install new battery with terminals in

same position as old battery.

4, First connect RED battery cable to positive (+) terminal with hex bolt and keps nut as shown. Tighten securely.

5.Connect BLACK grounding cable to negative (-) terminal with remaining hex bolt and keps nut, Tighten securely.

6.Close battery box door.

TO REPLACE HEADLIGHT BULB

1.Raise hood.

2.Pull bulb holder out of the hole in the backside of the grill.

3.Replace bulb in holder and push bulb holder securely back into the hole in

the backside of the grill. 4, Close hood,

INTERLOCKS AND RELAYS

Loose or damaged wiring may cause your tractor to run poorly, stop running, or prevent it from starting.

Check widng. See electrical wiring

diagram in the Repair Parts section.

TO REPLACE FUSE

Replace with 20 amp automotive-typeplug-in fuse, The fuse holder is located behind the dash.

1, Raise hood.

2, Unsnap headlight wire connecter.

3, Stand in front of tractor. Grasp hood at

sides, tilt toward engine and lift off of tractor.

4. To replace, reverse above procedure.

repairs must be performed by an authorized engine manufacture¢s service outlet.

TO ADJUST THROTTLE CONTROL

CABLE

The throttlecontrol has been preset at the factory and adjustment should not be necessary.Check adjustment as described

below before loosening cable. If adjustment is necessary, proceed as follows:

1.With engine not running, move throttle control lever from slow to choke position. Slowlymove lever from choke to fast position.

2.Check to see if hole in throttlelever and hole in speed control bracket are aligned.

3.If holes are not aligned, loosen cable clamp screw and align the holes by

insertinga pencil or a 1/4" drillbit through beth holes.

4, Pull throttlecable up to remove slack and tightencable clamp screw, Remove alignment pencil or drillbit.
