After you have set up your modem, run a test to ensure that your card has been installed properly (see “Testing the Installation in Windows 98/98SE” on page 3-8).

4.When the dialog box similar to Figure 3-10appears, click the Specify a location check box, and click the Browse button to locate the driver files in E:\Drivers\Win98 (where E: represents your CD-ROM drive).

5.Click the Next button.

6.When Windows prompts you with the message

Windows has found an updated driver for this device, and also some other drivers that should work with this device, click the

The updated driver (Recommended) option and then click the Next button.

7.When the dialog box similar to Figure 3-11appears, click the Next button.

8.Follow the remaining onscreen steps to install the rest of the drivers and to complete your modem installation.

9.Restart your computer to let the new settings take place.
