California And United States Emission Control Defects Warranty Statement

The California Air Resources Board (CARB), U.S. EPA, and Daihatsu are pleased to explain the Emission Control Systems Warranty on your model year 2001 and later Non-road Compresion-ignition engine. In California, new Non-road Compresion-ignition engines must be designed, built and equipped to meet the State’s stringent anti-smog standards. Elsewhere in the United States, new Non-road, Compression-ignition engines certified for model year 2001 and later, must meet similar standards set forth by the U.S. EPA. Daihatsu must warrant the emission control system on your engine for the period of time listed below, provided there has been no abuse, neglect or improper maintenance of your Non-road Compresion-ignition engine.

Your emission control system includes such parts as the air cleaner, ignition system, and muffler. Also included may be connectors and other emission related assemblies.

Where a warrantable condition exists, Daihatsu will repair your Non-road Compresion-ignition engine at no cost to you, including diagnosis, parts and labor.

Daihatsu Emission Control Defects Warranty Coverage

Non-road Compresion-ignition engines are warranted relative to emission control parts defects for a period of 1,500 hours or two years, whichever occurs first, subject to provisions set forth below. If any covered part on your Non-road Compresion-ignition engine is defective, the part will be repaired or replaced by Daihatsu.
