FUEL FILTER

Check the fuel filter periodically. Replace it if it is too dirty (Fig. 45).

OIL PUMP (automatic / adjustable)

Flow adjustment is pre-set by the manufacturer. Oil flow can be adjusted by the operator according to specific requirements. This is accomplished by the special adjusting screw (Fig. 46). Oil flow occurs only when the chain is moving.

Never use or operate with used oil.

STARTER ASSEMBLY VENT CLEANING

Use a brush or compressed air to keep the cooling louvers of the starter assembly free and clean (Fig. 47).

ENGINE / DECOMPRESSION VALVE

Periodically clean the cylinder fins (Fig. 48) with compressed air or a brush. Dangerous overheating of the engine may occur due to impurities on the cylinder. Check the base of the decompression valve; clean away any residues, which could cause the valve to stay open.

SPARK PLUG

Clean the spark plug and check the electrode gap periodically (Fig. 49).

Use a Champion RCJ-7Y or equivalent with the same thermal grade.
