MAINTENANCE

D. CLEANING THE AIR FILTER.

Dirty air filters reduce engine power, increase fuel consumption and make starting more difficult. If there is a noticeable loss of engine power:

filter cover (Ref. 3).

2.

Remove the foam element (Ref 4) and felt

element (Ref.5).

3.

Wash the air filter in warm, soapy water and dry.

IMPORTANT

To maintain proper engine operating temperatures, cooling air must pass freely through the cylinder fin area. This flow of air carries combustion heat away from the engine.

4. Always replace a damaged foam element.

5.

Fit the foam element in the filter housing.

6.

Fit the filter cover and engage it in position.

7. Tighten the screw firmly.

E. COOLING SYSTEM MAlNTENANCE.

The cooling system relies on cooling air entering the engine through the bottom engine grille located between the fuel tank and starter. The

cooling fan pushes this air through the cylinder fin area and out the rear grille openings in the engine cover.

Air intake

Overheating and engine seizure can occur when:

1.Air intakes are blocked, preventing cooling air from reaching the cylinder.

ST35, ST23, ST26 specifications

The Cub Cadet ST26, ST23, and ST35 snow blowers are excellent machines designed for efficient snow removal. Built with durability in mind, these models come equipped with robust features and advanced technologies aimed at enhancing performance and ease of use during winter months.

One of the main features of the Cub Cadet ST series is its powerful engines. The ST26 is powered by a 243cc engine, while the ST23 has a slightly smaller engine but still delivers commendable power for residential use. The ST35, on the other hand, boasts a more robust engine that provides superior snow removal capability, ideal for larger driveways or more substantial snowfall. The engines ensure reliable starts, even in cold temperatures, which is essential during winter.

These snow blowers also feature an innovative electric start option, allowing users to start the machine with just the push of a button. This convenience is particularly beneficial on frigid mornings when a traditional pull-start may be less appealing.

Another highlight of the ST series is the Cub Cadet's patented Intuitive Control System. This system allows users to easily adjust the speed, direction, and chute angles with minimal effort. With multiple forward and reverse speeds, users can navigate through varying snow conditions and terrain seamlessly.

The composite poly chute is another great feature, designed to provide enhanced throwing distance and prevent clogging. This innovative chute design helps direct snow exactly where users want it, saving time and effort when clearing driveways and walkways.

Additionally, the ST series snow blowers come with oversized tires that offer enhanced traction, allowing for better stability and maneuverability on slippery surfaces. The machines are also equipped with heated hand grips, ensuring comfort in extremely cold conditions.

Built with a strong, durable frame, these snow blowers are constructed to withstand the rigors of winter use. The reinforced housing provides additional protection against wear and tear, making the ST series reliable over years of heavy use.

In summary, the Cub Cadet ST26, ST23, and ST35 snow blowers present an array of advanced features and technologies. With powerful engines, intuitive controls, and robust construction, they stand out as efficient solutions for snow removal. Whether tackling light snowfalls or heavy winter storms, these machines offer performance and reliability, making them an excellent choice for homeowners seeking to conquer winter weather challenges.
