Using the Configuration Menu (continued)

Advanced > Mode

An Infrastructure network includes a router or an access point; an Ad-Hoc network is a Peer-to-Peer network with a direct communication between two DWL-G820s.

Service Type-

AP Client

Root AP MAC Address-

SSID-

Select Infrastructure or Ad-Hoc.

In Infrastructure mode: Enter the MAC Address of the access point or router in your network.

In Ad-Hoc mode: Enter the IP address of the DWL-G820 that you will be in Peer-to-Peer communication with.

In Infrastructure mode: Enter the SSID of the access point or router in your network.

In Ad-Hoc mode: Enter the SSID of the DWL-G820 that you will be in Peer-to-Peer communication with.

Site Survey- Click Site Survey to view the available networks

Apply -

Click Apply if you have made any changes.

MAC Address - Media Access Control Address

A unique hardware address that identifies a device on a network. It is assigned at the factory and cannot be changed. Usually you will find this address on a sticker on the device or on the packaging.
