Setting the everyday or once timer
Be sure to set the current time first ( page 18).
Example 1: Listening to preset number “3” with the everyday timer
•To use the timer function to listen to AM or FM broadcasts, be sure
to preset the desired station first ( page 14).
Press [MENU/SET] once.
•“TIMER” flashes.
Use 8or 9to select “EVERYDAY”, then press
[MENU/SET].

Use 8or 9to select “TUNER”, then press
[MENU/SET].

•The presettings are stored in the memory.

Use 8or 9to select “1_off / E_on”, then press
[MENU/SET].
•The timer standby indicator “ ” lights. The time is now set.

Press ON/STANDBY.
•The power is set to the standby mode and the power indicator
lights orange.
When the timer start time is reached, the timer operates.

¢If you make a mistake while setting the timer:
qPress BAND at any step from 3~ 6.
wUse [MENU/SET] to select the item you want to correct, them make
the correct setting.
eUse [MENU/SET] to proceed to step 7.
¢To check the timer settings:
qPerform steps 1and 2on page 19.
wPress [MENU/SET] repeatedly.
¢To change the timer settings:
Perform steps 1~ 8at the left to change the settings as desired.
The timer settings change to the new settings.
To change a setting while still in the timer setting mode, press
BAND then perform steps 3~ 8at on page 19 and above.
¢To delete the timer settings:
qPerform steps 1and 2on page 19.
wPress and hold BAND while “EVERYDAY” or “ONCE” is displayed.
¢To stop the timer setting:
Select “1_off/E_off” at step 2under “Operation of the everyday
and once timers” ( page 20).
Press [MENU/SET] once.
•“TIMER” flashes.

Example 2: Listening to a CD using the once timer
•Load the CD you want to play beforehand.
Use 8or 9to select “ONCE”, then press
[MENU/SET].
Use 8or 9to select “CD”, then press
[MENU/SET].
Perform steps 3to 5under “Setting the current
time” ( page 18) to set the timer start time.
