SI LA SIERRA SE ATASCA, SUELTE EL GATILLO Y RETROCEDA LA SIERRA HASTA QUE AFLOJE. CERCIÓRESE DE QUE LA HOJA QUEDE RECTA EN EL CORTE Y LIBERE EL BORDE CORTANTE ANTES DE VOLVER A ARRANCAR.

A medida que termine un corte, suelte el gatillo y permita que la hoja se detenga antes de levantar la sierra del trabajo. Cuando levante la sierra, el protector telescópico cargado a resorte se cerrará automáticamente debajo de la hoja. Recuerde que la hoja queda expuesta hasta que esto ocurra. Nunca ponga su mano debajo del trabajo, por ningún motivo. Cuando tenga que retraer manualmente el protector telescópico (como es necesario para iniciar el corte de orificios) siempre utilice la palanca retractora.

NOTA: Al cortar tiras delgadas, tenga cuidado en cerciorarse de que pequeñas pieza cortadas no queden dentro del protector inferior.

El cortar a lo largo de la veta es el proceso de cortar tablas más anchas en tiras más estrechas – cortando la veta longitudinalmente. La guía manual es más difícil para este tipo de aserradura y se recomienda el uso de la guía para corte a lo largo de la veta DW3278 o de la guía para corte a lo largo de la veta de doble puerto DWS5100 de DeWALT (Fig. 17).

ADVERTENCIA: Nunca amarre el protector de la hoja en una posición levantada. Nunca mueva la sierra hacia atrás cuando esté cortando orificios. Esto puede causar que la unidad se levante de la superficie de trabajo, lo que podría ocasionar una lesión.
