4Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit
password. The Parental Controls menu opens.
5Press to highlight System Lock, then press or
to select On.
6Press to highlight Block Unrated TV.
7Press or to select On (blocks unrated TV) or Off
(does not block unrated TV).
8Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press
EXIT to close the menu.

Setting the system lock

When the system lock is turned on, Parental Controls
(Block Unrated TV, US ratings, and Canadian ratings) are
enabled. S et Sys tem Loc k to off to disa ble par ental c ontrol
settings. Any parental controls you may have set will be
disabled until you turn System Lock on.
To turn on system lock:
1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the
Picture menu displayed.
2Press or to highlight Settings, then press . The
Settings menu opens with Parental Controls
highlighted.
3Press ENTER. The Enter Password screen opens.
4Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit
password. The Parental Controls menu opens.
5Press to highlight System Lock.
6Press or to select On (turns on system lock) or
Off (turns off system lock).
7Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press
EXIT to close the menu.

Setting parental control levels

You can set parental control levels for the U.S. and
Canada. Parental control settings are only applicable to
programs that have a rating signal.
To set parental control levels:
1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the
Picture menu displayed.
2Press or to highlight Settings, then press . The
Settings menu opens with Parental Controls
highlighted.
3Press ENTER. The Enter Password screen opens.
