Canadian rating levels
Downloading rating information
To download rating information:
1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the
Picture menu displayed.
2Press or to highlight Settings, then press . The
Settings menu opens with Parental Controls
highlighted.
3Press ENTER. The Enter Password screen opens.
4Press the number buttons to enter the four-digit
password. The Parental Controls menu opens.
5Press or to highlight RRT Setting, then press
ENTER.
If the program is broadcast with RRT5 rating
information, the information is downloaded
automatically and can be used for parental controls.
6To reset the RRT5 information to the factory default,
press or to highlight Reset RRT5, then press
ENTER. A box opens. Follow the on-screen
instructions.
7Press EXIT to close the menu.
Using closed captioningClosed captions (CC or subtitles) are intended to provide
people who are hearing impaired with access to TV
programs. However, this feature is also useful for viewers
who are learning a new language, beginning to read, or in
a noisy environment. Text captions are displayed to
transcribe speech and often other relevant sounds.
Closed captioning availability and content depends on
the broadcaster and may vary across programs in a
channel.
