3Press or to highlight Closed Caption, then
press ENTER. The Settings-Closed Caption menu
opens.
4Press or to highlight Digital Caption (only
available for digital stations), then press or to
select a digital caption setting, then press ENTER.
You ca n se le ct CS1 through CS6 or CC1 through
CC4.
5Press or to highlight Digital CC Settings, then
press ENTER. The Digital CC Settings menu opens.
6Press or to select Mode, then press or to
select Custom.
7Press or to highlight an option, then press or
to adjust the style. You can select:
•Font Style— Selects the font style.
��Font Size—Selects the font size.
•Font Edge Sty le—Selects the style of the
window edge.
•Font Edge Col or—Selects the color of the
window edge.
•Font Color—Selects the colo r for the words.
•Background Color—Selects the color for the
background.
•Font Opacit y—Selects the opacity level for the
words.
•Background Opacity—Selects the opacity level
for the background.
8Press EXIT to close the menu.
Adjusting time settingsSetting the clock
To set the clock:
1Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens with the
Picture menu displayed.
2Press or to highlight Settings, then press . The
Settings menu opens.
3Press or to highlight Time, then press ENTER.
The Settings-Time menu opens.
4Press or to highlight Style, then press or to
select Manual (to set the date and time manually),
or Auto (to have the date and time set automatically
from a TV source signal, based on your time zone.
5If you selected Auto for Mode, press or to
highlight Time Zone, then press or to select
your time zone. You can select Atlantic, Eastern,
Central, Mountain, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii, or
Newfoundland.
6If your viewing area observes daylight savings time,
press or to highlight Daylight Savings, then
press or to select On or Off.
7If you selected Manual for Style:
• Press or to highlight Year, Month, or Date,
press or to adjust the setting.
• Press or to highlight Ti me, press or to
highlight the hour, minute, or AM/PM field, then
press or to adjust the setting.
8Press EXIT to close the menu.
Note
To reset the closed caption styles to their defaults, set
Mode to Default.
